According to reports out of China, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 is already in production. The Chinese model of this smartphone (SM-F9260) uses 2215 mAh + 2060 mAh dual battery cells.
A device with the same model number, SM-F9260, recently passed the Chinese 3C quality certification. The certification shows that this device comes with a 25W charger (EP-TA800).
Sammobile claims that the external front camera of this smartphone will be a Sony IMX298 sensor. In addition, the internal front camera will be an IMX374 sensor. The Sony IMX374 will be placed under the screen. As for the exact pixel size, it may be 10MP.
The speculations so far reveal that Samsung will reduce the size of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 display. Reports claim that it will come with a 7.5-inch display, a 0.1-inch reduction from the previous generation which has a 7.6-inch display.
Also, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will come with the iconic S Pen of the Note series. This will be the first time that a foldable smartphone will come with S Pen support. As for its official launch date, there is no information for now.
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 may come with the “Armor Layer”. This is only speculation and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Actually, Samsung only just applied for the trademark of this device. In addition to the “Armor Layer”, the company also applied for other trademarks like Armor Skin and Armor Frame. Presumably, the “Armor Layer” will support a special scratch resistance.
