Vivo is well known for two particular things – launching good smartphones with nice specifications and for launching multiple variants of every lineup it has.
Sometimes, the company isn’t the best in determining new names for its new smartphones. The latest example is the Vivo Y52s (t1 Edition).
The Vivo Y52s sit in the class of affordable mid-range smartphones. The device comes with a 6.58-inch LCD with a high refresh rate of 90 Hz. The device also packs Full HD+ resolution which means 2,400 x 1,080 pixels.
Moving around to the back, the device is much far from the Vivo’s flagships with gimbal-like camera systems.
It does come with a simple dual-camera setup. Fortunately, the main camera is a 48MP main snapper which gets help from a 2MP depth cam to power the bokeh effects.
Under the hood, the smartphone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset. That is an Octa-Core chipset featuring four ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz plus four power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 1.8GHz.
The company also equipped the smartphone with a 70 mm long vapor chamber within the smartphone. This is combined with some AI features and a graphite layer allowing for proper heat dissipation.
Vivo seems to be pretty confident of the gaming capabilities of the Snapdragon 480 SoC. The chipset has an Adreno 619 GPU, much better than the Adreno 610 found on some Snapdragon 600 series chips.
The Vivo Y52s (t1 Edition) draws power from a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging through a USB-C port.
The Vivo Y52s (t1 Edition) comes in three distinct colorways – Titanium Gray, Coral Pink, and gradient Aurora.
