ColorOS is Oppo’s skin for Android. The user interface also shipped with Realme-branded phones for a while before they announced their own skin called realme UI. Interestingly, Realme, a younger brand than OnePlus, has ditched ColorOS.
Previous Device Running HydrogenOS
Pete Lau also added that previous devices running HydrogenOS will continue to receive updates. However, we do not know if OnePlus plans to migrate its older devices from HydrogenOS to ColorOS. OnePlus hasn’t said anything about the future of OxygenOS.
The OxygenOS user interface continues to have support, which is not the case for HydrogenOS. The information that the global versions of OnePlus smartphones will continue to run the OxygenOS user interface.
It is worth mentioning that recently, OnePlus officially announced the launch date for the OnePlus 9 series.
According to the company’s Twitter page, the OnePlus 9 series will arrive on March 23rd. This smartphone will be the first to use the Hasselblad smartphone imaging system.
