A couple of weeks ago, Xiaomi unveiled its Chinese version of the Redmi Note 9 series. The devices hadn’t anything close to those released earlier this year.
For instance, there are two variants featuring 5G connectivity and a lesser one with just 4G connectivity. Well, we all know that it’s just a matter of time until these devices escape China.
Under the hood, the Redmi 9 Power brings the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC. According to Redmi, this chipset is an incremental improvement in terms of performance when compared to the Snapdragon 665.
It’s an 11nm Octa-Core chipset and will be used in a great part of budget smartphones next year. Xiaomi’s POCO M3 has very similar specs and will soon hit the Indian market.
The device flaunts a 6.53-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution, the phone has a teardrop notch at the top serving as a house for an 8MP selfie snapper.
Moving around to the back, we have a rectangular camera shape comprising a Quad-Camera setup. The main sensor is a 48MP primary, an 8MP ultrawide, 2MP depth, and 2MP macro units.
