Today, a Weibo blogger revealed that the screen used in the Huawei Nova 8 series is going to be the best among all Nova line models. It turns out the Huawei Nova8 Pro will support 60Hz, 120Hz, and smart screen refresh rate. At the same time, the Huawei Nova8 only supports 60Hz, 90Hz, and smart refresh rate mode.
According to current information, Huawei’s Nova8 series will use the HiSilicon Kirin 985 chip. Though this is the same chip used in the Nova 7 line, the former one has a better configuration.
The rear quad-camera includes a 64-megapixel main lens (f/1.9), an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.4), a 2MP depth-of-field lens (f/2.4), and a 2MP macro camera lens (f/24). The front camera has a 32MP resolution and an f/2.0 aperture.
There is also a built-in 3800mAh battery, which supports a 66W fast charge. The Huawei Nova 8 series has two models, a standard version and a flagship version. The standard version uses a 6.6-inch AMOLED single-hole flexible curved screen and provides four colors.
Another Weibo channel provided a hands-on video of all four color variants of the Huawei Nova 8 Pro, including the so-called No. 8, Provence, bright black, and forest.
The official premiere of the Nova 8 and Nova 9 Pro will take place on December 23. The new devices will go on sale a week after the announcement – on December 30. According to previous reports, the starting price of Huawei Nova 8 is about 3,000 yuan ($458) while that of Huawei Nova 8 Pro is about 4,000 yuan ($611).
